Backup
The Retail CashBox uses very little disk space. Yet, today the floppy disk drive is not the best
way to backup your data. We suggest you buy a tape drive.
For thoes who won't take our advice ... we have included a way to run a backup to floppy disk.
This methoid relies on a program called BACKUP. The BACKUP program is included in most
versions of DOS. If you have a tape drive, you can rename BACKUP.* to BACKUPO.* then
rename your tape backup program to backup. This would make The Retail CashBox run the
tape backup instead of the floppy backup.
The BACKUP program must be in a directory that is in your PATH which is set by the PATH
command in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
