When I was in college, I used the M100 to take notes. I saved notes to tape recorders, disk drives and micro-wafer drives. Unfortunately, over time, these drives are failing and disks are slow and inconvenient. To use the transfer software you need an old-style serial cable. Mac OS X users (and Windows/Linux users with a laptop without an old style serial port), just need a USB-to-Serial cable.
