Trouble Using Your IPad? Try These Tips!
What is there to say about the iPad which hasn’t been said before? Some consider it a futuristic tool, while others feel like it’s a toy for kids. Use the tricks and tips presented here to make the most of this valuable tool.
The iPad’s iOS supports folders now. To start, just tap and hold the tap on your desired application, wait for it to jiggle, then drag the app to a different icon and release. Instantly they will both merge into a folder named after their categories. You can then rename this folder if you like.
It’s simple to find out which apps are currently running on your iPad. Double clicking on your Home button will bring up a bar along the bottom of the screen displaying all of your currently running apps. You can scroll through the applications or choose one of them. Make this bar disappear by making a downward swipe on your screen.
Server Address
All you have to do is utilize a VPN network to get to the remote servers. To activate your iPad’s VPN feature, head to settings and click on network tab. Enter the required username and server address. If the server address is not something you personally know, contact your network administrator.
Did you just launch a noisy app by mistake? Press and hold the button used to turn down the volume, and the device will mute automatically. The lock orientation can also be configured to mute your device.
You can change your setting so that you are no longer asked whether or not you are interested in joining a Wi-Fi network. There is a selection in the Settings menu to disable Wi-Fi messages. Choose that and you won’t be bothered with incoming invites.
You can select to see more lines of preview text in your email. Go to the Mail menu under Settings and choose “Preview.” Select the number of lines you’d like to see. This ensures you know what your emails say.
Iphone Charger
If you need to charge up in a hurry, do not use an iPhone charger on the iPad. The iPad uses 10 watts, while the iPhone uses 5 watts. Charging with an iPhone charger will take far more time. To save time, charge your iPad with the included charger.
Do you find the battery charge percentage a bit distracting on the screen of your iPad? Turn it off, then! At the outset, access the Settings Menu. Then click on General, and then Usage. You will then have access to the battery percentage display and have the option to turn it off.
You can now do a quick mute your iPad. The first iPads did not have a mute button on them. The IOS 4.3 gave the choice of a lock switch to lock the iPad orientation or to mute the sound. All you have to do now is hold the volume down control to mute your iPad instantly.
Set up phone numbers and emails for FaceTime. FaceTime, by default, can include your iPad’s set up email, but you may add more. If there are more emails or even phone numbers where you want FaceTime to recognize, you can set them up in the settings area of the iPad.
The iPad comes with a few apps that you’re probably not going to want to use. You are also not able to take some of these apps off. Just group them in a folder and stick it on the last page of your apps. This will leave your home screen available for apps that you actually use regularly.
When using the internet it is easy to do many things at one time. You don’t have to leave the website you are currently on just because you want to follow a link. If you hold the link you want, rather than the usual tapping, you are going to get a menu with options. This menu will allow you to open a new tab and load the new page there. This allows you to save your place on the current page.
Even though you may not want them, security features are a smart idea. If you happen to lose it, you wouldn’t want those with nefarious intentions having access to your personal information. So, take the necessary precautions to keep your info safe.
It does not matter if you believe the iPad is nothing more than a large gaming device or something more, you can choose to make it more. This is just the start of what you can do with and learn about your iPad. Continue to learn and you will understand it all soon.
